Biography

"Like ancient artifacts unearthed from the depths of time, the essence of Anneagma’s work emerges as a silent witness to history, carrying the weight of forgotten instincts and cultural intersections."

Anneagma’s sculptures take us into a space where material and memory come together, creating a dialogue between tradition and the contemporary. Rooted in her intimate connection with clay, her practice transcends mere craftsmanship, becoming a language in itself— a visceral means of expression that reconnects her to an innate, primal force.

Her hands shape the earth, and fire transforms it completely, making her work a reflection on change. Her sculptures exist between art and craft, showing both the fragility and strength of time.

Born in Paris to an Ivorian father and a French mother, Anneagma explores inherited memories through her work, connecting the artistic and spiritual influences of West Africa and Europe. Each sculpture carries a sense of history, as if from an ancient past or an imagined world. These forms, both rough and delicate, seem to hold forgotten stories, blurring the line between artifact and contemporary expression.
